ROSA Gallery, set in wooden package

Dear friends!

It is finally time to resume our product reviews of the ART partners of the «Step by Step» competition.

Today I want to acquaint you with the products of the ROSA company.

ROSA presented 13 wonderful prize packages for the project participants in the first and second seasons, which included paints and notebooks and accessories.

ROSA Gallery art watercolors are developed by highly qualified technologists, taking into account the requirements and recommendations of professional artists of Ukraine.

Professional watercolors ROSA Gallery made from natural and synthetic pigments based on one hundred percent gum arabic, which provides excellent adhesion and maximum purity and transparency of each color. Cadmium, cobalt, and earthy color groups are made from natural pigments, providing noble shades and versatility of colors. Most of the colors in the gamut are one pigment, which makes it possible to create pure shades when mixed, and the high lightfastness of pigments retains their original form over time. A high concentration of pigment allows you to obtain a wide stretch of color from the most saturated to airy transparent.

The characteristics of the ROSA Gallery watercolor make it possible to apply all the techniques and techniques of watercolor painting.

Today we will look at a gift set in a wooden box, 24 colors in 10 ml tubes.

The CLASSIC set combines 24 basic colors, traditional for the watercolor technique. A wooden pencil case makes the set interesting and presentable and will be useful in the future for storing tubes of watercolors or other art supplies.

The characteristics of ROSA Gallery professional watercolors make it possible to apply all the techniques and techniques of watercolor painting:

• Colors of paint are the same both in the tube and in the cuvette — a single recipe;

• Paints are well washed out even after drying;

• The base is 100% natural gum arabic;

• Cobalt, cadmium and earth colors are made from natural pigments;

• Most of the colors of the gamut — one pigment, which makes it possible to create pure shades when mixed;

• High lightfastness of pigments will keep work in its original form over time;

• High concentration of fine-grained pigments.

We are done with the technical side, let’s move on to practice … 😊

So, ROSA Gallery set in wooden packaging.

The packaging is very durable and convenient for storing paints and other working materials at home. It’s nice to store it on a shelf, it won’t get wet, and it won’t break. Solid wood, reliability and aesthetics, two in one. In addition, a set in such a package is ideal for a gift. Any watercolourist will be pleased to receive paints in such a beautiful, stylish package. 😊

The set is composed of 24 classic colors for any watercolorist’s working palette.

The paints are packaged in tubes of 10 ml. Tubes of classic shape, paint not sealed. Plastic, very convenient lid, even if the paint dries, it is easy to open it due to the wide corrugated cap at the lid. Artists will understand me why this is important.

The consistency is not always homogeneous, thick, saturated and has no specific odor. Bright saturated uniform colors, very bright at first glance, but if you adapt and get used to working with ROSA, it will become irreplaceable in your work.

My acquaintance with ROSA watercolors began back in 2017, when paints were tested in different cities of Ukraine. These tests were organized by the company so that the artists could help find out all the pros and cons of the products, and improve the quality of the products produced by the company.

In my opinion, this is a very correct approach, because no expert can understand the needs of artists better than the artists themselves. As a result, after testing, I was so impressed that for several months I did not part with the brush, my inspiration resulted in several works, which later traveled to various exhibitions, and in the summer, I became the organizer of the first international watercolor festival in Kharkov.

This is how my journey began with ROSA, and to this day this company supports all the events that I organize and is always happy to support the work and initiatives of both professionals and novice artists.

But we got distracted …

All colors interact great with water, many colors from this set have long settled in my palette, and I often replenish my stocks when I fly to Ukraine.

Bright saturated shades, transparent delicate stretch marks and gorgeous pure combinations of two or more colors. In one breath, I painted three new watercolors, and did not notice how two hours passed.

I really hope that soon ROSA watercolor will appear on the markets of other countries, in particular in Poland.

You can see 708 Carmine and 710 Violet on the poster of the second season of the «Step by Step» competition and in the latest videos that present our projects.

Nice transparent shades of blue, nobody will be indifferent, and I could not pass by.

Below I present the works, painted with watercolors, ROSA, I confess, not all the colors from this set, added a little from its reserves, but only ROSA.

All these works were completed in 2018-2019, some of them have traveled extensively at exhibitions, almost all have already found a new home in different countries. I am very glad that these works now please their new owners.

«Taiga sleep» 38*56 cm
«Baltic coast» 21*29 cm, in a private colection
«Freedom» 38*56 cm
«Boat» 29*36 cm, in a private colection
«Light in the window» 30*40 cm, in a private colection

I would also like to note the pleasant transparent shades of blue, no one will be indifferent, and I could not pass by. I also very often use Indigo from ROSA, it is presented in this set, but I cannot but mention it in this review.

And my new works written for this review.

Different format, different mood

«Alpine mood» 38 * 28 cm

In this work, the following colors were used: 731 Cadmium Yellow Light, 741 Cobalt Turquoise, 729 Bright Blue, 715 Ultramarine, 728 Sap Green, 713 Olive Green, 719 Yellow Ohre — from this palette, and slightly added other colors from the ROSA line

«Sunset over the Baltic» 38 * 28 cm

In this work, the following colors were used: 702 Cadmium Lemon, 741 Cobalt Turquoise, 729 Bright Blue, 715 Ultramarine, 716 Cobalt Blue, Indigo — from this palette, and slightly added other colors from the ROSA line

«Silence» 38 * 28 cm

Colors used in this work: 729 Bright Blue, 715 Ultramarine, 716 Cobalt Blue, 702 Cadmium Lemon, 733 Burnt Sienna, 720 Sepia- from this palette, and added some other colors from the ROSA line

«Old giant» 38 * 56 cm

In this work the following colors were used: 729 Bright Blue, 741 Cobalt Turquoise, 716 Cobalt Blue, 702 Cadmium Lemon, 733 Burnt Sienna, 720 Sepia, 728 Sap Green, 713 Olive Green, 719 Yellow Ohre — from this palette, and added some other colors from the ROSA line

All colors interact well with water, do not exfoliate or precipitate. A slightly uneven texture in some colors did not interfere with the work with ROSA watercolor at all. The depth of color and saturation of the pigment is already the hallmark of this brand’s watercolor.

For myself, I have long ago identified my favorite colors and use them successfully713 Olive Green, 710 Violet, 729 Bright Blue, Indigo, 702 Cadmium Lemon, 741 Cobalt Turquoise, all these colors are constantly used in my works and you can easily recognize the brightness of the colors of the ROSA watercolors.

In conclusion, I would like to note that ROSA is a newcomer to the ART market, but they have made a very high-quality and successful start. In my opinion, this success lies in close collaboration with artists. It’s nice to know that your opinion will remain noticed and appreciated. I recommend using watercolors of this brand — excellent quality.

Iwish success and development of the company.

And from me you are waiting for another review of ROSA products, on the updated line of colors.

Be safe and successful, dear friends!
