Today we will review the water colors in Renesans Intense / tubes (I want to note that together with the paints we received Renaissance testing brushes, their quantity and excellent quality, allowed us to write a separate article about their properties, so in the near future you will still one review))

Renesans watercolor paints have become a real discovery for me. It was the first paint in tubes, which fell into my hands, I’m quite afraid reacted to this gift, but after the first trial, I realized that nothing cautious.

So today we present 24 watercolor colors in tubes — Renesans Intense.

07. Lemon yellow, 09. Cadmium yellow pale, 10. Aureolin (hue), 21. Permanent carmine, 23. Quinacridone red, 27. Mineral violet, 28. Ultramarine blue, 29. Prussian blue, 30. Helio cerulean, 31. Phthalo blue, 34. Indanthrone blue, 35.Indigo (hue), 36. Cobalt turquoise, 38. Helio turquoise, 39. Permanent green, 45. Olive green, 46. Green earth, 48. Golden green, 55.Mars Bordeaux, 58. Brown madder, 59. Burnt umber, 60.Polish brown, 62. Sepia, 65. Payne’s gray

I selected the colors myself, depending on my work palette. This may explain the low number of red shades in this set.

15 ml metal tubes., With a black plastic cap. (The cap is very comfortable, tested by experience and two years of use, even if the paint has dried up and blocked the cap, when you try to open it, the tubes retain their shape and if they do not twist, an excellent cap allows you to solve the drying problem) On each tube, the name and color numbers are written in three languages: Polish, Russian, English.

On the reverse side, all information on this color: composition, pigments, light fastness, hiding power, transparency. Also on the package it is indicated that Renesans Intense is a high-quality watercolor paint based on honey. Barcode, manufacturer’s address, and the manufacturer’s website address — each tube contains the maximum information so that it is easy to find your favorite color in stores and on the network.

All colors of this collection have maximum light fastness, all colors are very saturated and bright. Consistency is homogeneous, in any color there was no peeling paint or spreading.

All colors perfectly interact with water, especially I want to note the color depth and pigment saturation in such colors: 30. Helio cerulean, 58. Brown madder.

The real discovery for me was 48. Golden green is a magnificent, bright olive shade, and 29. Prussian blue is indispensable when working with sea landscapes and bright sunsets. 34. Indanthrone blue is a wonderful one pigment shade, it works in cases when saturation and depth of blue is needed, as in Indigo, but the black pigment in the latter does not give the desired effect.

With earthy shades of this manufacturer, I first started experimenting with watercolors and the result was very pleased. One pigment 59. Burnt umber in conjunction with 29. Prussian blue gives a great scenic sediment, which allowed to realize some of my ideas and experiments.
